Vashti DuBois
Vashti DuBois is a veteran arts administrator with over 30 years of experience championing women and girls of color. In 2015, she founded The Colored Girls Museum (TCGM), the first “memoir museum” of its kind. Housed in a residential space, the museum honors the history and experiences of women across the African Diaspora by transforming ordinary, personal objects into meaningful art and archives. Through her generous support, she established the Vashti DuBois Curatorial Fellowship, enabling the Museum of African American Art Collections (MAAAC) to appoint Tamara J. Mason as Curator.
