Art shapes our historical perspectives as well as how we envision our futures—yet the curators telling our stories are not us.
The MAAAC Curatorial Fellowship was established to directly address this critical gap. By supporting Black curators at critical stages of their careers, this fellowship will provide essential resources, mentorship, institutional access, and financial stability needed to inject authentic Black perspectives into the fine art ecosystem.

An accomplished independent curator and arts professional, Tamara brings a profound dedication to highlighting contemporary Black artistic practices through exhibitions centered on spirituality, ritual, memory, identity, and community engagement.
