Stephanie Daniel
Art collector and educator Stephanie Daniel developed a lifelong passion for visual art growing up in Boston, where early visits to local galleries and museums fostered her appreciation for creative expression. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Art History from Marymount College—including studies at The Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting in London—and later completed a Master of Science in Art Education at Saint Joseph’s University before serving as an art educator in the School District of Philadelphia. Informed by her technical background, international travels, and years of involvement with Philadelphia’s October Gallery African American Art Expo, Daniel’s private collection warmly reflects her dedication to African American art. Her home features a dynamic array of vibrant works, from the smooth pastels of Laurie Cooper to the richly textured palette knife paintings of Philadelphia artists Samuel Benson and Andrew Turner.
